227 Legacy Alumni
Scalable Engagement Model
Revived Alumni Pride
Introduction
The Child Education Society (CES), the apex body of Bal Bharati Public Schools and other institutions, was established in 1944 during the pre-independence era by eminent philanthropist Padma Vibhushan Lala Hansraj Gupta and fellow visionaries. With the mission to preserve and promote Indian culture, heritage, tradition, and ethos, the Society chose education as the cornerstone of nation-building.
Among its flagship institutions, Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura (BBPS Pitampura) has stood out for its academic rigor, holistic development, and strong community values. Over the decades, it has shaped generations of students who have gone on to excel in corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, research, creative industries, and public service. Yet, as the years passed, many of its older alumni lost touch with their alma mater.
The Challenge
While BBPS Pitampura had nurtured thousands of students, its legacy alumni records (1994 onwards) were fragmented across personal networks, outdated lists, and yearbooks. Many early graduates had not been in touch for decades. The Alumni Association faced three pressing challenges:
-
Disconnected Legacy Alumni: Older batches had drifted apart, and contact records were incomplete or lost.
-
Lack of Centralized System: Engagement relied on manual efforts, limiting scale and consistency.
-
Declining Community Spirit: Without structured outreach, the shared identity of “Bal Bharatians” was fading.
The Solution
The Association partnered with the AlmaShines Alumni Management Platform, transforming the way it engaged with its alumni.
-
Data Recovery & Structuring
Alumni data was consolidated into a clean, digital alumni database. Between 1994–1999, 227 alumni were reconnected and verified. -
Seamless Outreach
Built-in tools (emails, WhatsApp, batch-specific campaigns) allowed personalized communication, restoring trust with alumni. -
Nostalgia-Driven Engagement
Newsletters, reunion invites, and memory-based posts reignited the emotional connection with the school. -
Self-Updating Profiles
Alumni updated their own professional and personal details, keeping the database sustainable and future-ready.
The Impact
-
227 legacy alumni from 1994–1999 reconnected and became part of an active digital ecosystem.
-
The Association moved from fragmented outreach to a scalable, technology-driven engagement model.
-
Alumni pride was revived, strengthening both school legacy and community brand value.
Conclusion
By adopting AlmaShines, BBPS Pitampura successfully transformed its alumni engagement journey. What began as a fragmented effort to trace older batches became a thriving digital alumni network, reigniting the Bal Bharatian spirit.
